Cowboy boots fit differently than traditional footwear. Use this guide to find your ideal size and ensure the best fit from day one.
Fit Overview
The No. 1 fits true to size. We recommend taking your usual size unless one of the adjustments below applies to you.
If you are between two sizes and have a standard foot width and calf measurement, choose the smaller size for a closer fit through the foot.
Narrow Foot
Size down half a size for a closer fit.
Wide Foot
Size up half a size for additional comfort.
High Instep or Arch
Size up half a size to allow for ease when slipping on.
Toes Feel Cramped
Size up half a size.
Calf Fit
The No. 1 features a 15″ shaft circumference and is designed with a tailored, close-to-the-leg silhouette. At this time, we do not offer extended calf sizing.
Our boots are crafted from ultra-soft calfskin leather, selected for its natural flexibility and ability to gently mold to your shape over time. With wear, the leather will relax slightly for a more personalized fit.
For the best fit, your calf measurement should be at or below the listed shaft circumference. If you measure above it, sizing up will provide additional room while maintaining the intended silhouette.

Standard B width (average). If you typically wear wide sizing, consider sizing up.

How to Measure
Follow these steps to find your perfect fit.
Foot Length
- Be seated when measuring.
- Tape a piece of paper down to the floor.
- Place your foot firmly on top of the piece of paper.
- Mark the longest distance of your foot on the paper.
Shaft Circumference
- Sit with your foot flat on the floor.Wear the type of socks you plan to wear with your boots.
- Measure 11 inches up from the bottom of your heel.This is where the shaft circumference is measured on your calf.
- Wrap a soft measuring tape around your calf at that point.Keep the tape snug, but not tight.
- Compare your measurement to the shaft circumference listed for your size in the table above.For the most comfortable fit, your calf measurement should be equal to or less than the listed shaft circumference. If your measurement exceeds the listed value, we recommend considering sizing up.
Pro Tips
- Measure your feet at the end of the day when they’re at their largest.
- Wear the socks you plan to wear with your boots when trying them on.
- New boots require a break-in period of 1–2 weeks. Be patient—they’ll mold to your feet.
